Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux Wed Secretly in Los Angeles

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston married long time boyfriend Justin Theroux at their Los Angeles area home after a four year romance, celebrity media reported today.
Jennifer, 46, whose first marriage to actor Brad Pitt ended in divorce 10 years ago, met actor and Tropic Thunder screenwriter Justin, 43, in 2008 and the couple announced their engagement in 2012.

People and Us Weekly said guests at the wedding included Jennifer's Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow and comedians Ellen DeGeneres and Chelsea Handler.

“Freeheld,” starring Julianne Moore Once again in the Oscar race with a touching Trailer

Issue driven films with a ton of heart usually find their way into the awards season one way or another. Hopefully, it’s because they’re good movies and legitimately important, either for the culture or the world in general. Sometimes though, it’s just due to how shamelessly manipulative they can be on an emotional level. Hopefully, one new entry into the former category will be Freeheld, which is hitting the awards season at a very timely moment in history. A Trailer hit last week (which you can see below) and it appears to be hitting all of the right notes in order to appeal to Oscar in a potentially significant way come its October theatrical release.
The film is about same sex marriage and centers on two women fighting for the benefits that straight couples take for granted. Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore) is a Lieutenant in the New Jersey police force who encounters a struggle when she attempts to pass on her pension to her partner after developing terminal cancer. Her partner is a woman named Stacie Andree (Ellen Page) and is only her domestic partner (yes, it’s a period piece from less than a decade ago), so she’s denied. Thus begins a level fight that spurred a documentary on the subject. Peter Sollett directs, while Ron Nyswaner wrote the screenplay. In addition to Moore and Page, the cast includes Steve Carell, Josh Charles, Luke Grimes, Michael Shannon, and more. It’s prestige through and through.
Assuming we have a worthy player on our hands, there are plenty of possibilities for the Academy to latch on to here in terms of awards. Obviously there’s Best Picture, along with Best Director (for Sollett), Best Actress (either Moore or Page, likely the former), Best Supporting Actor (Carell or Shannon), Best Supporting Actress (either Moore or Page, likely the latter), Best Original Screenplay (for Nyswaner), and possibly Best Film Editing or Best Makeup and Hairstyling as well. Right now I only have Page predicted, but that’s playing it safe and mostly based on what I thought before the Trailer hit. Now, I think we could be looking at more than that, though it’s still rather early.

Time will tell if this winds up being a player or not, but Freeheld has announced its presence early on with authority, at least in terms of getting pundits like myself to discuss it as an Oscar hopeful. Moore and Page could easily end up competing for nominations, with Page perhaps being an under the radar contender to actually win her first Academy Award. That remains to be seen, but if you’re looking for another potential flick for the Academy to scope out this fall/winter. Freeheld is a strong bet. You can see the Trailer below, and obviously we’ll have more on it in the coming months. It’ll be out on October 2nd, right in the heart of the Oscar season, so keep that in mind as well…

“Deadpool” Ryan Reynolds is in the long awaited Trailer

You wouldn’t have expected last month’s Comic Con to have been won by a basically C list comic book property like Deadpool, but that apparently was the case out of San Diego. The panel there was supposedly best in show, not just in terms of superhero flicks, but in general, and that’s saying something. After all, Ryan Reynolds is not exactly a beloved figure there (even if I think he’s very underrated) and the character itself was rather mishandled the first time out, but that’s the difference a great Teaser or Trailer can make. Now, folks can’t wait for the Deadpool movie, and the Trailer we have for you later on this piece will help to explain why. It’s not Oscar material, but hey, sometimes fun is fun.

A quick introduction to the superhero. The character is known as “the Merc with the mouth”, since he’s a wisecracking mercenary…so, basically an antihero. Think someone like The Punisher, but with the sense of humor of Spider-Man. Here, it’s an origin story, seeing how Wade Wilson (Reynolds) became Deadpool. It appears to be irreverent, violent, and a ton of fun. Reynolds is in the title role, obviously, while the supporting cast includes Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, TJ Miller, and more. The director here is Tim Miller, while the writers adapting the comic book source material are Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It’s not something I’d been paying much attention to…until now, that is.
Yes, Reynolds’ first crack at the character didn’t work very well and he wasn’t a particularly great Green Lantern, but this film seems determined to stand out from the pack. First of all, we rarely get R rated comic book properties, let alone ones that seek to be edgy like this is going for. It has a vibe that’s closer to Kick-Ass than Superman Returns, essentially. Also, Reynolds does look pretty good here. Who knows if it’ll sustain over the course of a whole movie, but the look you’re going to see below should make you at the very least curious to see more.
To be fair, we are getting excited over a mid February release in 2016, so it’s not exactly a surefire Academy Award contender. Maybe this will wind up being thoroughly mediocre and nothing will match whatever happened at Hall H in San Diego this summer, but time will tell. Right now, this Trailer you’ll see below has blown most people away, so the buzz is pretty high. Deadpool could follow in the footsteps of unlikely hits like Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, though we won’t know for another six months. Regardless, this first look at the flick is providing excitement to many, so it’s my pleasure to share it with you. Take a look at it now and sit tight for more on this one early next year. Enjoy…

Written, directed and produced by Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie Pitt, By the Sea serves as her directorial follow-up to Universal Pictures’ epic Unbroken. The dramatic film stars Brad Pitt and Jolie Pitt, who are supported by an international ensemble led by Mélanie Laurent, Melvil Poupaud, Niels Arestrup and Richard Bohringer.

Pitt joins her in production duties, while Chris Brigham (Inception), Holly Goline-Sadowski (Unbroken) and Michael Vieira (Unbroken) serve as executive producers.

Lionel Messil lost his cool, headbutt and grabs throat of Roma Player

Messi lost his cool, headbutt grabs throat
Lionel Messi was at the centre of a headbutting controversy on Wednesday as Barcelona cruised to a 3-0 victory over Serie A side Roma in a pre-season friendly at the Camp Nou.
The Argentinian superstar, renowned for rarely losing his cool despite regularly being the target of brutal tackling, reacted angrily during a confrontation with Roma’s French international Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.
Footage of the first half incident showed Messi aiming a headbutt at Yanga-Mbiwa’s after the Roma defender appeared to nod his head in the direction of the diminutive South American star.
A furious Messi grabbed Yanga-Mbiwa by the throat after clashing with the defender before other players rushed over to intervene.
Messi escaped a red card for the incident however, receiving only a caution from referee Javier Estrada Fernandez. Yanga-Mbiwa was also booked.
The flashpoint represented a rare loss of cool for Messi. The Argentine has never been sent off for Barcelona and has only ever been red-carded once — on his international debut as a teenager in 2005.

Salma Hayek has no time for hollywood movies

Salma Hayek has no time for hollywood movies
Salma Hayek says that while Hollywood studios may not be calling as much lately, she's staying plenty busy.
"I think they don't want me but I don't really care," said the Oscar-nominated actress. Hayek produced and voices a character in the animated film adaptation of Lebanese writer Kahlil Gibran's 1923 book of prose poetry, "The Prophet." It's a passion project, opening in U.S. theatres on Aug. 7, that she said was partially inspired by her 7-year-old daughter Valentina Pinault.
"It's meaningful. It's hopeful. It's uplifting. It's respectful. It honors children," Hayek said. "Many people tell me, 'But they are not going to like poetry.' Children love poetry. That's why we have the nursery rhymes and then we don't give it to them anymore. It's their first language. They think in metaphor."
Hayek hasn't been as much of a red carpet fixture as she once was in the entertainment world. She said she's been busy with charity events.
"I've been getting awards from different places for the humanitarian work and I've had a lot of movies come out. Then there is my husband (French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault) also who takes me to many places. There's that stuff too and I've just been busy with life," she said.
Sitting in a long sleeve striped button-up Gucci wrap dress, the "Frida" actress scrunched her face to display lines when asked about turning 49 next month.
